Q: What is NewVaConnects?
A: NewVaConnects is a new organization devoted to uniting young professionals
in the NewVa region.
Q: What is
the "NewVa" region?
A: NewVa is the brand and visual identity for the region of western Virginia
that encompasses the Allegheny Highlands, the Roanoke Valley and the New
River Valley. The brand was created by the Fifth Planning District Regional
Alliance. Learn more here.
Q: Is NewVaConnects
affiliated with any organizations?
A: Yes, NewVaConnects is affiliated with the Roanoke
Regional Chamber of Commerce. However, the individuals serving on
the leadership team are young professionals from various businesses in
the NewVa region.
Q: Why does
the region need a young professional organization?
A: Do you know someone who has left our region for a bigger city because
of a perceived lack of social and career opportunities? NewVaConnects
was formed to create an inclusive environment for young professionals
to connect with each other, as well as area leaders, and to provide opportunities
for social interaction and career growth.
