NewVaConnects was created as an affiliate of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce in the spring of 2006 by a group of young professionals in their 20's and 30's who were concerned about the issues facing our region.

Our goal is to aid in the accomplishment of making the NewVa region a talent capital and an attractive community for young professionals to live, work and play. By acting as a united voice, young professionals have the opportunity to have a say in shaping our community and making it a place that attracts young talent and economic growth.

NewVaConnects hosts a series of events and programs that focus on a variety of topics including current political issues, professional development and social interaction.

NewVaConnects is a non-profit subsidiary of the Roanoke Regional Chamber of Commerce. While the mission of NewVaConnects is separate from the Chamber, our organization will echo the Chamber's mission, to serve the interests of our members by providing leadership, advocacy, and action that will help the NewVa region achieve its potential as a desirable place to live, work, and visit.

Since spring 2006, NewVaConnects has grown to more than 400 voices strong!
